Priority areas in Morocco

In consultation with the Moroccan government, German development cooperation focused from 2000 onwards on three priority areas:

  • economic promotion
  • environmental protection and resource conservation
  • water.

In addition there is work on cross-cutting themes:

  • health (reproductive health, family planning, AIDS prevention and treatment)
  • gender
  • poverty reduction
  • good governance
  • promotion of democracy and civil society
  • decentralisation.
