In Egypt, GTZ International Services is predominantly concerned with the themes of state reform, economy and employment, environment, health and transport. Additionally, we implement projects targeting youth promotion and vocational education. Until 2004, we were involved in the field of plant protection on behalf of the Dutch Embassy. The main client of GTZ International Services in Egypt is the Delegation of the European Commission in Cairo.

We also support two supraregional projects here: one targets improvements in solid waste management in the Arab Mediterranean states while the other promotes general economic and social development in the countries concerned – including the promotion of a sustainable flow of transport.
