For more than thirty years GTZ has cooperated with Argentine organisations and institutions on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).  It has many years of experience in finding tailor-made solutions for the conditions particular to Argentina and in developing and implementing project strategies and measures together with local partners.

As Argentina is no longer a partner country for German bilateral development cooperation, the GTZ Office in Argentina closed at the end of 2006. For the time being, GTZ will be represented by the contact person at the still ongoing regional project “Sustainable development in Chaco Sudamericano”, based in the capital, Buenos Aires.
