In Pakistan, GTZ International Services (GTZ IS) is active in the field of health. The project ‘Advisory services in planning, management, and construction supervision in the health care sector of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK)’ covers a two-year period and is financed by the Asian Development Bank (ADB).

GTZ IS was commissioned to implement this project by the Earthquake Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Agency (ERRA), the implementing organisation of the Pakistani Government.

The project supports the Ministry of Health in reconstructing a solid and functional health system for districts affected by earthquakes, such as Neelum, Muzaffarabad, Bagh and Poonch in AJK.

The IS office in Pakistan backstops the project activities in Pakistan.
