Our activities in Thailand focus on health and the modernisation of state structures.

On behalf of the European Commission, GTZ International Services is assisting Thailand in the reform of its health care system. In addition to specialist personnel for family medicine, we are also training financial experts to work in the health system as well as experts for the management and marketing of health care services.

At the request of the Asian Development Bank, GTZ IS has started to develop options that will enable Thailand’s local government units to access the commercial bond market. We are committed to creating safe and sustainable structures for third-party financing, thereby giving local authorities a solid financial basis for their projects, the majority of which are geared to the development of infrastructure.
