GTZ’s main client is the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). With a total turnover of 1,224.0 million euro in 2008, some 894.0 million euro came from projects and programmes for the BMZ.
Dirk Niebel (FDP) is the Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development. Hans-Jürgen Beerfeltz, State Secretary at the BMZ, is the chairman of the GTZ Supervisory Board.
