Bonn

The former Federal capital Bonn has successfully evolved into a centre for international development in Germany, and is Germany’s first UN location. The focus for the GTZ Bonn Office is on maintaining contacts with partner organisations, UN organisations, NGOs and other institutions.

Bonn is also the site of the location for the first main office for the Federal Ministries for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU), and Consumer Protection, Food and Agriculture (BMVEL). Being located at close vicinity in the former Federal Government district, close networking, efficient communications structures and positive synergy effects are possible in cooperation between GTZ and the other development cooperation organisations.

The Bonn office provides information on our themes and areas of work, and acts as a channel for contacts at our Eschborn Head Office and in over 130 countries worldwide. Numerous sectoral projects which GTZ carries out for the BMZ are also headquartered in Bonn.
