Eschborn Dialogue 2007
The main theme of the Eschborn Dialogue, organised by GTZ 28-29 June 2007, is Capacity Development. Empowering Expertise and technology are key factors in the quest to find sustainable solutions to global challenges like climate change, environmental pollution and poverty. But if the processes and initiatives for sustainable development that are taking place in so many different locations are to have their full effect, they must be efficiently coordinated and combined. This is why, internationally, the capacity development approach is employed to solve problems and make maximum use of potential. For more than 30 years now, GTZ has been strengthening the practical abilities and implementation capacities of individuals, organisations and societies. The partners’ sense of responsibility and ownership are at the centre of this complex task. Based as it must be on a holistic approach, capacity development thus takes place in many areas of social, political and economic life. More than 400 representatives of politics, industry, research and the civil society will discuss with development experts the many facets of capacity development in the light of the international debate on this approach. Please join the discussion and mark the date in your calendar today. Veranstaltungsinformation - Event information
