Results of a Medium-Scale Trial of Single-Use, Self-sanitising Toilet Bags. In Poor Urban Settlements in Bangladesh
The objective of this study, which was carried out by GTZ (now GIZ) -Bangladesh within the Second Urban Governance and Infrastructure Improvement Project was to establish whether Toilet Bags (peepoo bags in this case) are a feasible sanitation alternative for poor urban settlements given the local socio-cultural context in the town of Mymensingh in Bangladesh.

German Parliament held plenum debate about worldwide sanitation crisis, 2008
In a plenum session on 5 December 2008, the German Parliament discussed the global sanitation crisis, its dimension, options to overcome it and how Germany contributes already to the solutions.
