Concise information on a wide range of projects on sustainable sanitation and ecosan from around the world is presented in the case studies of the Sustainable Sanitation Alliance (SuSanA). The project descriptions contain technical, organisational and financial data on the project, as well as a description of experiences, problems, lessons learnt, sustainability and long-term impacts.

Project description
SANIRESCH is financed by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research and started officially 1 July 2009. It focuses on the urine-diverting system in the GTZ main building, incl. the required treatment and reuse of urine, brown- and greywater. Partners are the RWTH Aachen, University of Bonn and Gießen University of Applied Sciences as well as the companies Roediger Vacuum and Huber SE.
