GIZ (former GTZ) has been holding the TERNA Dialogue on an annual basis ever since 1999. The conference has become established as a forum where representatives of the German wind industry, experts and decision-makers from developing countries and emerging economies exchange experiences and discuss trends in wind energy.
For three years now, a Wind Energy and Development Dialogue has been held in conjunction with the TERNA Dialogue. It is a cooperative event between GIZ, the German Wind Energy Association (BWE) and the Power Systems association within the German Engineering Federation (VDMA PS). It serves as a platform for interchange between representatives of the world of policymaking and the private sector on development-policy issues relating to every aspect of wind energy.
These two events are incorporated within a seminar organised by the TERNA Wind Energy Programme for experts and decision-makers from developing countries and emerging economies.
