Cooperation GIZ - DNRSince January 2006 GTZ (now GIZ) has been cooperating with the Deutscher Naturschutzring - Dachverband der deutschen Natur- und Umweltschutzverbände (DNR) e.V. (German League for Nature Conservation and Environmental Protection - umbrella organisation for German nature and environment protection associations). The object of the cooperation surrounds the proposal for an international guideline to an environmentally and socially compatible development of wind energy (ILWE). The proposal was drawn up by DNR in collaboration with the German Wind Energy Association. The purpose of the agreement is to examine the ILWE proposal to see if it is applicable in developing and emergent countries. There will also be an exchange of information about further developments to the guidelines and technical developments relating to the environmentally and socially sound expansion of wind energy in Germany and other countries.
