    Since 2001 GIZ (former GTZ) has worked with the journal GEO to draw attention to the issues surrounding biodiversity and its conservation by holding action days in developing countries. For further information on our joint campaigns marking International Biodiversity Day visit:

  • ZDF/3sat-"nano"
    GIZ projects and activities are from time to time covered by the German-language scientific affairs programme “nano”, which is broadcast daily on the satellite television channel 3sat. For example, the programme reported on the GEO Biodiversity Day 2004 in Manaus, Brazil. GIZ also regularly provides the nano editorial team with information on development issues of interest to the media.
