Cooperation

Strong partnerships are needed if the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) and its various programmes are to be implemented effectively. GTZ therefore cooperates with national and international networks, organisations and scientific institutions. Cooperation with the media is also an important part of communicating biodiversity.

The specific skills and experience of different organisations are mutually complementary. Cooperation therefore enables projects to be implemented more efficiently and contributes significantly to the advancement of policy processes.

In a number of countries GTZ is involved in Public Private Partnerships (PPPs). Most PPPs are directly linked to a particular project at local level.
