Social standards working group
The main responsibility of the Social Standards working group, whose members are German development policy institutions, is to advise the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and cooperate with the Ministry on promoting social standards. In 2003, BMZ and the working group jointly published a collection of actions and measures to implement Core Labour Standards in developing countries. The publication describes the German development cooperation contribution towards realising the Core Labour Standards. A brochure on socially sound globalisation ”Making Globalisation Socially Equitable” Implementing Core Labour Standards in Selected German Develevopment Cooperation Projects” was published in 2004.
