The Social Standards component is currently responsible for implementing the following PPP projects:

• AVE/GTZ project on improving working conditions for suppliers to the German retail industry
• VW/ILO/GTZ project on health and safety in the workplace
• Together with the Uhde company, the Social Standards component is also a member of the PPP steering committee, where it focuses on occupational health and safety (OHS).

The component also works with

• other bilateral development organisations, e.g. in the Social Standards working group,
• universities and research institutions that focus on social standards, corporate social responsibility and responsibility within value chains.
