The HIV/AIDS workplace programme for GTZ employeesIn 2003, GTZ developed and started to implement its own HIV/AIDS workplace programme - a challenging task, considering that it covers more than 10,000 national and international employees in 131 countries. All country offices have endorsed a HIV/AIDS policy that ensures non-discrimination and provides services such as prevention and anti-retroviral treatment. The policy lays the foundation for implementing services and support structures similar to those found in other companies in the private sector in Africa that are supported by GTZ.
