Mongolia – Convention & Culture Partner ITB 2011

Logo ITB Culture Partner 2011 Mongolia

Mongolia is the Convention and Culture Partner of the international tourism trade fair in Berlin (ITB Berlin) from Wednesday, 9 March to Sunday, 13 March 2011.

As ITB's Culture Partner, Mongolia attracts special interest not only by being a travel destination, but a modern, open-minded state and a country of natural diversity, great history and peculiar culture. Mongolia sees its future in sustainable economic relations and responsible tourism that is to lead to prosperity, foster cultural development and preserve biodiversity.

We will support Mongolia in pursuing these tasks. This culture partner initiative provides interested parties concerned with Mongolia with the opportunity of gaining greater attention for their work.

Culture Partner Mongolia will present itself in selected contributions based on three spheres:

Arts  music, painting, sculpture, fashion, dance, film, literature
Science  history, archeology, geology, ecology
Politics, Economy and Society  preserving cultural heritage and biodiversity, sustainable economy, environmental and climate protection

Previous to ITB we want to attract greater attention for Mongolia. To this end we will support arts projects, research cooperation as well as economical and social initiatives.

During ITB Mongolia will play a special role

  • at the opening of the convention (09 March),
  • at the ITB Destination Day (Mongolia-Forum on 09 March),
  • at the ITB CSR Day (Corporate Social Responsibility, 10 March),
  • at events in the "Asia Hall" (Hall 26c), in the cultural tourism segment (Hall 10.2) and in the "Trends and Events" hall (hall 4.1).

Besides the main stand in hall 26c, two other stands will be located in hall 10.2 and 4.1.

After ITB contacts concerning the development of sustainable tourism as well as cultural, research and economic cooperation will be maintained.
