Close cooperation with national and international partners ensures that German Development Cooperation maintains its high international profile in the field of social protection. In particular, our extensive international networks provide us with a good overview and opportunities to exchange experience on the theme, and to ensure strategic donor harmonisation. We often work jointly on advisory missions and assist other organisations in devising appropriate solutions for developing countries. This pooling of resources and consultation on sectoral and methodological issues enhances the efficiency and effectiveness of our in-country advisory work, thereby increasing the benefits to our partners. We are therefore endeavouring to extend our involvement in cooperation initiatives and to establish the necessary structures.
