Enhancing private sector involvement in the HIV and AIDS response in NepalCorporate Social Consortium (CSC) with a vision to develop “Partnership for an effective response to HIV and AIDS and other public health issues in Nepal” is a not-for-profit entity. Creating a partnership between organizations representing the affected community, government and private sector, CSC intends to increase the coordination and effectiveness in the response to HIV and AIDS and other public health issues which contribute to strengthening the health care system of Nepal. CSC in partnership with Newsfront – a weekly magazine – and supported by BACKUP has taken an initiative to broaden awareness among concerned authorities like government and corporate sector regarding issues of HIV and AIDS and Corporate Social Responsibility. A published series of weekly columns from February until December 2010 will aim at raising knowledge through sharing practical information about the functioning of private sector service delivery systems for health and HIV.
