A UNAIDS consultation on utilizing the lessons learned in the provision of technical support for application to the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, TB and Malaria (GFATM) took place in Tunisia from 17.-19. February, 2010. In preparation for this meeting, the German BACKUP Initiative commissioned a desk study which analyses the technical support provided by BACKUP for the development of Global Fund proposals for Rounds 7 to 9, summarizes lessons learned and provides recommendations for future support.
