German Health Practice Collection is a series of publications issued jointly by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and KfW Entwicklungsbank (KfW) where development journalists report on successful programmes implemented by German development cooperation organisations. The series is aimed at international experts working in the field and political decision-makers. They can also be understood by non-experts and offer a detailed insight into the German development community’s activities in the field of health and social protection.

All programmes (see ‘Successful Programmes’) that are included in the Collection are selected by groups of experts drawn from the German implementing organisations and BMZ according to a set of criteria. They are subjected to a peer review by two renowned international experts in the respective field.

The ‘Hot off the press’ section on the series’ website offers a list of new publications, while the ‘Latest News’ section contains interesting articles, videos and links to websites covering German development cooperation activities in the fields of health and social protection. Under ‘Fresh from the Blog’, the site reports on the documentation associated with the programmes and how they are selected to be included on the site.

‘Publications at a glance’ contains links to downloadable pdf versions of all available documents in the series and the available translations.
