Further information
With this website the project “Knowledge systems in rural areas” offers you information relevant to practical implementation.
Here you will find our periodical bulletins, each with a thematic focus, readers with fundamental and background material, methods and instruments for analysis and implementation, selected links, and reports on workshops and training we have organised.
- Thematic readers: The readers contain essays and case studies on the various themes of the project, such as agribusiness, extension, decentralisation, financing, media use, reform of agricultural service providers, research systems, training, management of service providers.
- Methods and instruments: The instruments and methods employed help in the orientation, analysis, planning and implementation of rural development projects. They include tools for decentralisation, establishment of competition funds, analysis of service organisations, role clarification for private and governmental service providers, development of extension and training contents, integration management, and start-up support activities.
- Reports: The project has documented its most important workshops and training elements: financing of extension, media in rural development, management of extension, communication between research, extension services and farmers. Please note that some reports can comprise several megabytes.
- Links: These help you find the addresses of our partners in cooperation as well as important specialised websites. We endeavour to keep the links up to date and are grateful if any mistakes are pointed out.
This page is updated regularly to keep our information useful to you.
