• German Development Institute (DIE)
  In the past years, we have cooperated with researchers of DIE on a number of trade-related issues, including intellectual property rights, value chains, EPAs and Aid for Trade. DIE is an independent development policy research institute in Bonn which provides consultancy services for BMZ and offers postgraduate training.

• European Centre for Development Policy Management (ECDPM)
  The main area of cooperation with ECDPM is trade policy in the Africa, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) group of countries including the Economic Partnership Agreements (EPA). ECDPM is an independent foundation with the aim of monitoring EU development policy and supporting the ACP states in their negotiations with the EU.

• Hamburg Institute of International Economics (HWWI)
  The cooperation with the HWWI covers issues related to assessing the economic impact of trade and investment policies, in particular of foreign direct investments in developing countries. The HWWI is a non-profit research institute focusing on the interdisciplinary analysis of key economic, societal and political trends.

• Overseas Development Institute (ODI)
  We cooperate with ODI on issues related to Aid for Trade and EPAs, with a special focus on the links between trade and poverty reduction. ODI is an independent think tank on international development and humanitarian issues based in Great Britain.

• World Bank Trade Standards Practitioners Network (TSPN)
  The mission of TSPN is to improve the effectiveness of initiatives that support developing country capacity and participation in the implementation of trade-related social, environment and sanitary/phytosanitary standards. GTZ will host a Secretariat for the TSPN funded by the World Bank.

• Standards and Trade Development Facility (STDF)
  We participate in the STDF, a global programme in capacity building and technical cooperation established by the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO), the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE), the World Bank, the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the World Trade Organisation (WTO).

• United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD)
  In our work on food quality, trade in services and intellectual property rights, we cooperate closely with UNCTAD. Located in Geneva, UNCTAD is the focal point in the United Nations system for trade and development.

  In the area of food quality and food safety, we cooperate closely with GLOBALGAP, a private sector body that sets voluntary standards for the certification of agricultural products around the globe. GLOBALGAP serves as a practical manual for Good Agricultural Practice (GAP) anywhere in the world.

• United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO)
  We cooperate with UNIDO in the area of pharmaceutical sector promotion in developing countries. UNIDO is a United Nations agency which supports developing countries in the promotion of productive employment, a competitive economy and a sound business environment.
