Talk Agriculture! - Rural Development in DialogueAgriculture and rural areas are terms that arise a set of different associations. Grazing cows, corn waving in the wind, bright yellow rapeseed fields? Such romanticized images only meet a very small part of reality in Germany as well as in our partner countries in the developing world. Agriculture is the production of foodstuffs and industrial raw materials. In every meaning it is inextricably interwoven with people. With people in rural areas and people in cities all over the world. In short - with every single one of us. Rural areas are important; they are not a separate part of the economy. As both living and economic spaces they fulfill many functions. The rural economic system, the political environment, the ecological situation, the social participation of stakeholders in a region: all these are important pillars that characterize rural areas around the world.
Through events, websites, information materials, discussions and other activities, we strive to answer these and many more questions. Would you like to know more about agriculture and rural development? Contact us. We look forward to the dialogue. |
