Kuwait
GTZ has been providing advisory services in Kuwait since 1991. As with any GCC state, the oil-exporting country of Kuwait is not a typical partner country for German technical cooperation. GTZ’s current priority area in Kuwait is the provision of advisory services to the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training (PAAET). This body reports to the Ministry of Education and Higher Education and is responsible for vocational and technical training in Kuwait. Amongst PAAET’s facilities are five training institutions that offer full-time vocational training to young Kuwaitis in a wide variety of professions. Thirteen GTZ long-term experts are currently working at four institutes in the fields of metal-work, electrical engineering, construction engineering, hospitality and hairdressing training.
