Good practices from the children and youth sector. The sector project, Implementation of Children and Youth Rights, wants to integrate the experiences that have been accumulated from the work on children and youth policy and structures to promote youth, into the dialogue and exchanges. A selection of successful projects from the fields of health, employment, violence prevention, participation and children’s rights will be presented as case studies and success factors from the lessons learned in the projects related to the respective area will be derived.

How a core of experts based in Croatia is boosting HIV surveillance across Eastern Europe, Central Asia and beyond. Sustainable Ozone- and Climate-Friendly Alternatives to HCFCs. This volume is a collection of articles by experts from academia and governmental institutions, along with representatives from manufacturers, suppliers and end-users of HCFCs in the foam sector. It attempts to provide guidance to those involved in implementing the HCFC phase-out under the Montreal Protocol and all other kinds of climate protection projects in developing countries: policy stakeholders as well as manufacturers and end-users of HCFCs in the foam sector from both developed and developing countries.

An Exploratory Project in Malawi and Uganda
In 2007, an estimated 22 million adults and children insub-Saharan Africa were living with HIV. Women made up 60% of this total, with young women three to five times more likely to be infected than young men. Research shows that cultural, social and economic forms of inequality related to gender differences greatly
increase the vulnerability of women and girls to HIV.

While GTZ’s detailed environmental report is published every two years, the environmental auditcontinues to be produced annually. The Environmental Audit 2008 builds on the preceding year’s environmental report. It covers the report period January to December 2008 and includes the Eschborn, Berlin and Frankfurt-Rödelheim sites.
