The Solid Waste Management sector has recently been re-discovered from a resource management perspective. In times of de-creasing availability and increasing prices for raw materials, the “anthropogenic resources” contained in waste, become economically interesting. The publication summarises the results of the GIZ Sector Project “Recycling Partnerships”, which analysed the effects and integration potential of informal activities into solid waste management on behalf of BMZ.
