The German Public Relations Association (DPRG) together with the F.A.Z.-Institut conferred the International German PR Prize on 2 October. GTZ Corporate Communications was among the award-winners in Wiesbaden. It convinced the jury in the category 'Communications Controlling' with its strategic instrument of the goal tree. 'This is a great success for the joint strategy work of Corporate Communications,' said Carolin Bansbach, Head of Policy and Controlling, Corporate Communications.

The International German PR Prize is the highest and most prestigious award for the PR sector in German-speaking countries. This year, 370 enterprises and agencies from Germany, Austria and Switzerland submitted entries in one of the 24 categories. An international jury made up of communications experts from industry, academia and agencies determined the prize winners.

With its goal tree instrument, Corporate Communications has systematically linked communications strategy with GTZ's longer-term corporate objectives. 'The main aim was to develop a clear and understandable goal system and to raise the visibility of the contribution that communication makes to corporate success. This is an important prerequisite for our company's efforts to communicate globally with one voice,' Bansbach said.
